When I called the ortho pods office to see if they could help out with some suggestions the nurse did not know what to say but would do some checking. Well about 30 minutes later she called back and asked if I would like a phone call from an agency that may be able to help. Of course I said yes. Well they called today. they are a state agecy that helps medically handicapped. well she took some basics to see if we would qualify. She believes financially we will qualify and thinks with the doctors information and anything from our primary doctor we should be able to get into the program. If we do qualify on both and medical and financial front they would pay for the braces for CJ.
So now it is a wait and see game. She is sending the information to someone who works in our area and they should call to ask the questions officially and fill out the paperwork. Then we go from there. This lady did say that we may want to call our local medicad office because she thinks we could qualify for that as well for cj. That may be a little harder but apparently with our income we are right on the boarder for a family of 4, which we will be in 10 weeks. So I am going to place some more phone calls.
