Ask:
Did you know most auto insurance companies offer a reduced rate to those who travel less than a certain number of miles per year (depending on the company)?
When I stopped working (and as a result, commuting!), I called my insurance man & he changed my policy. It saved me almost $100/year!
Just an FYI...consider calling your insurance company. A hundred bucks is a hundred bucks!
Answer:
Thanks!
Answer:
Yeah, we recently changed insurance companies and when I was talking to the agent I mentioned I was planning on becoming a SAHM in the not to distant future. He told me to call him as soon as I quit my job because it would save me money. He did not mention how much, but any amount is fine by me - $100 a year would be great!
Answer:
I work for State Farm Insurance in PA & if anyone in hh drives less than 7500 miles/yr, they get a short mileage rate. It's worth checking into for anyone in the hh, not just SAHM. Also, if you're over age 55, you may qualify for driver improvement discounts if they offer them in your state (they do in PA). Hope this helps. If anyone else has insurance questions, please ask.
Answer:
My insurance is ridiculous...I've never had an accident, ticket, etc. my car is four years old, I drive about 30 miles to work round trip...and on top of that, I carpool with another girl, so we split the driving in half (plus I only have a 4-day work week), and I pay almost $1700 a year...for my car only. It's crazy!!
Answer:
Thanks. I didn't know about this. I will look into it.

Answer:
i thought we had cheap insurance when we had one car on the policy it was 117 a month then we add my explorer to it, it had gone up a 100 and then i totaled the explorer and we took it off it went down to 200 wow it went down 17.00.my dh had also lost his lisience a few years ago, but he has it now. so we switched to allstate and now we pay 45.00 a month and that is with my accident and my dh's driving record.
