Ask:
Just curious. I don't. I would love to, but just the other day, because of the suction power when one door at the back of my house was open, when someone opened the front door, too, the back door slammed shut, pulling MaryGrace's fingers with it. It was awful...and scared us bad. I also don't like the pollen and dust that seems to come in with my breeze!
Answer:
Oh dear! I can totally understand why you don't open your windows! Poor thing. . .
I don't like having the windows open, unless we're home. Our windows and screens are not very good, and I'm afraid the cats will get out.

I was just reading an article about this- I wish I could remember were so I could try and post the link.
It talked about the need to open up windows whenever possible to let out the "toxicians" that build up in our homes. It said that may be the reason why people get sick-
My mom and grandmother are always saying to open up windows to let some fresh are circulate thru the house- they may have a point.
Now blessed with 6- I hope your little ones fingers are okay.. maybe a window would be better to open??
Answer:
I have my windows open right now & it is really nice! After being closed up all winter it is nice having fresh air, until the dust & pollen start to bother us. Sorry about MaryGrace's fingers-I hope that she is okay!
Answer:
This is the first home I have ever lived in that I was able to open the windows. Between growing up in NYC and living in homes that didn't have storms and screens I was never able to enjoy the fresh air and breeze I get now. I don't notice the pollen, and the little bit of dust I get is well worth the fresh air.
Answer:

The windows create the same suction, for some reason. All doors SLAM!
Answer:
I know what you mean about the doors. When I have the windows open I put either a shirt or a toy in the doorway so it won't slam shut on anyones fingers or wake up dh when he is sleeping.
We have had our windows open this week. Knock on wood I don't have to worry about allergies with my girls.
