It grosses me out to bite into a brat, but today I saw brat patties at Fareway. They don't have the casing around them like a regular brat. Has anyone tried these before?

Yes, we love the Johnsonville Brat Patties, they are just like sausage patties w/ the flavors of a brat. Dh prefers them over regular brats, we grill them a lot.
I have also tried Bob Evans' "special seasonings" sausage, it tastes just like their brats, too, so you could make patties w/ that as well.

yep i buy the johnsonville brat patties they are really good i'm the only one at our house that like brats so its easier for me to get these and i only eat one at a meal so i freeze the rest for other grilling times.

yes we have had them.I take the batt meat out of the casing and make it into patties and have them on buns like a burger.Very good!
