Ask:
DD has a 2 day volleyball tournament this weekend a hour and a half away. Wo her and I went up yesterday. We had to leave before 6 am so we stoped at McDonalds to get something to eat on the way up. We were at the tournament from 8am to 5pm so of course we had to eat their over priced concession food since they would not allow any outside food. Then when we left, we stopped at a mall since dd was feeling bad that most of the team was staying in a hotel and swimming. So I told her we could do a little shopping. So we got dinner and she got a couple of small things (around $30). Of course I get home to find that dh got pizzas for dinner for hiim and the other kids (even though I told him that there were frozen pizzas in the freezer ) and he went out and bought pop tarts for the kids for lunch So that ended up being a pretty spendy day!!! Then today dh took dd up for the second day of the tournament. So, you know they will need breakfast and lunch. They should be home in time for dinner though since today is a shorter day.
Why does every thing have to cost so darn much?
Answer:
It is a bummer that everything is so expensive and that they would not allow you to bring in food. I have had a similar week, my mom is in the hospital over an hour away so even though I have been packing snacks - we have been there so much that we have already had three meals out. It will conitnue this week as well. Just try to be thankful that you did have a frugal week so that these little treats don't hurt as much- that is how I like to think of it...
Answer:
I can sympathize with you, it seems all of our extra money has been put toward DS1's basketball tournaments for the past 2 months. Thank God, their National Tournament is this week and we will be done with it for the year.. Luckily we are able to take in outside food and drinks so I usually go to the dollar store and stock up on the carry around snacks for my younger 2. And then the league pays for everything for DS.
Answer:
Too bad they wouldn't let you bring in food. Concession stands are such a scam, way overpriced. Sometimes days just happen like that. Don't let it ruin the rest of your week.
