"My Favorite Project" Bows, Bows, Bows by blessed_with_6

Supplies:

wooden dowel
a hot glue gun
small tube of acrylic paint
a thin piece of ribbon about a yard long
2 inch wide ribbon (a roll).

First you paint the wooden dowel your chosen color. (We did pink to match the girls' room). Then, you cut the ribbon in the lengths desired and also in your preference of how many to hang.

Using your hot glue gun, spread a line of glue on the dowel, about 1 inch in from the end...and wrap the 2 inch ribbon around the hot glue spot. Add a dollop of hot glue to the ribbon itself, and wrap it around once more to make sure it holds well. do this to each strip of ribbon.

Cut the ends of the ribbon in an upside down "V" shape, just to make it have a cleaner edge. Take your thin ribbon, and tie a long piece to each end of the wooden dowel, making a bow in the front for decorative purpose. Put a dollop of hot glue on the back of the wooden dowel, on top of the thin ribbon that is tied around the dowel, making sure it does not slide off.

Attach your bows, and hang on the wall!
