Ask:
DD has been Iraq since July 2006- She was due for promotion in December and it never happened. Her old crew chief never even attempted the paperwork.
Fast forward to beginning of April and Maria is assigned to different section- her new crew chief is absolutely ticked that she wasn't put in back in 2006. He has jumped through hoops and now Maria at this minute is testing for her E4 after being on a mission all day.
She was online and will attempt to get back on after she finishes test.
She seems to be taking it in stride but she is more upset about not being able to talk to her Dad via IM because their schedule today are now off. I will try to cover DH's errands so he can get chance but all I had was 5 minutes earlier.
Answer:
Hope it all works out for her!! Will she get a retroactive raise?? That would be cool!
Answer:
She's probably so cool about it because she knows getting mad will do her no good. I'm glad she's moved on to better supervisors. The military is so political! But, it does happen in business, too.
Hoping all comes out well!

I don't believe so.
She is in a situation where getting mad doesn't do any good and only lowers morale.
I've told her to send me vent mail via computer but she says it's no big deal.
I know it happens in business too. It's just aggravating that she has little recourse on old crew chief- But I do feel much safer now she is away from him and with someone who understands how to fill out the paperwork and has seen that she is a hard worker and is willing to sweat when she is needed.
New section's morale is much better and she actually types happier if that makes any sense.
Answer:
Big hugs. I think of her so often. I hope she gets all of this straightened out. She is always in my prayers.
Answer:
((HUGS)) for you Mama and for Maria!
