How much is your clothing budget?

Ask:
A few days ago our local radio station was trying to do a survey on how much each person spends on thier clothing account ( clothes and shoes ), which lead me thinking, how much does everyone allocate to thier budget on buying clothes, and how often do you buy clothes for yourself?

I was horrified at how much esp. the ladies were paying every month for clothes, as I normally would spend approx half of what they were paying in one month for one seasons worth of clothes. ( I dont need office clothes ). These ladies were spending at least a third to a quater of thier monthly salaries on thier clothing accounts.
Answer:

I average $5-$10/month because I shop mostly yard sales and thrift stores for clothing. Really I should spend nothing. I have enough clothes that I can wear something different for a month straight. I need to work on that. My dh buys 'new' clothes on sale each season and spend about $100/season.
Answer:

I don't have a specific clothing budget. I rarely ever buy clothes for myself. When I do buy something for myself, it usually comes from Wal-Mart and it's usually on sale. I stay away from trendy stuff and stick to classics so I don't have to keep buying new things every season.

Kentucky- I'm right there with you sister!!!! I average about $5.00 per month. They just opened a new thrift store here. I was so excited because I bought everyone in my family (all 4 of us) a new outfit and only spent $18.00. It was summer clothes which we all needed. I don't buy clothes or shoes unless they are needed. I might buy 1 new pair of shoes for myself per year. I buy my kids shoes when they outgrow their old ones.

I don't have a set budget. If someone needs something I buy it for as little as I possibly can. I rarely buy clothes for me, since I am no longer growing (I hope!) I have a full closet. Occasionally, I will buy myself something if I see a really good sale and it is something I think I will actually wear. My last buy for me was a pair of jeans last month that I got at a thrift store (Lee jeans, that look new!). I spent $1.25 for them!!!!
Answer:

I never buy myself new clothes.. I have a birthday in April and my mom loves to clothes shop so we always have a shopping day before my birthday and then she always wants me to pick out things for Christmas too. When I was working, I would occasionally go and get something new but usually we stick to birthdays and Christmas for the whole family.

I don't have a clothing budget, though I probably should! I normally don't buy clothes for myself on a regular basis. I generally have to wait until there is a special event coming up, and even then, I buy on clearance! I did just buy a couple of Tshirts from Kohl's though since I've outgrown last summer's clothes.....yeek!
Answer:

I don't actually have a clothing budget. I don't just go out and shop for clothes for fun. I really only buy clothes when I have to have something and I always look for the best deal possible.

Lately I've been buying a lot of clothes but its because my other clothes aren't fitting anymore so I don't really have much of a choice. But I still look for sales and good bargains.
Answer:

I don't have a budget either. I don't buy many clothes. If I do they are usually under $10 or I get them as a gift for my birthday or Christmas. I also get a lot of clothes from friends or family that they no longer wear. I probably spend $100 total on clothing a year. This wasn't the case when I was single though. I probably spent more like $500 a year, which really isn't all that much considering I had a job with suits and dress clothing.
Answer:

I don't go by an actual budget but do try to get something for everyone every other payday (about once a month). But don't spend over $10 each unless its a need (shoes or jeans) we get just about everything from WalMart because we don't have a very good thrift store here and yard sales are few and far between. Right now I am currently working on getting summer clothes for us all, the kids have outgrown theirs and dh and I have some pretty ragged looking stuff.
