Ask:
How often does wood need to be cleaned with Lemon Oil?
Answer:
Depends on the wood I suppose, how much you're using, how the wood is used (is it furniture, baseboards etc)...I used lemon oil and 0000 steel wool to clean the mahogany cabinets in my kitchen at my old house. I did it twice a year or so and then in between just wiped them with a soft cloth.
Lemon oil can be really sticky, so you have to wipe it down really well and sometimes return to it and wipe again so there is no residue. At least that has been my experience. We are in a new house and I did use lemon oil on a few doors but it soaked right in and didn't leave any kind of residue, so maybe they were just really dry or something? It really helped with some surface scratches, they virtually disappeared. I love lemon oil!
Old t shirts or diapers work great with lemon oil...don't pour it directly on whatever you're polishing, pour it on the cloth first for the best results.
Answer:
Oh, I use lemon oil on my stainless steel too. I find it works really well!
My MIL uses lemon oil on her shower doors, I haven't tried that yet but she says it helps prevent build up and then when she cleans them, she puts on some lemon oil first and then uses her cleaner on top of it and she says together they do a fantastic job.
