I just found out today that 2 of my very good girl friends are interested and able to go away with me on a girls weekend trip to Berkeley Srpings WV. It's an adorable quant little town filled with art and history, famous for it's spa's and warm natural springs. There is a 6,000 sq ft store called The R.A.G. Shop (Recycled American Goods) its like an indoor fleamarket - yard sale with bargains galore. I found 3 houses, very nice ones with 3 bedrooms, hot tubs, one has a billiard room, 2 are secluded in the woods and 1 is in town. We haven't decided which house we are going to rent but the prices split 3 ways are about $115 per person per night. We could go cheaper at a motel but then we would have to eat out every meal... at least with a house we would have a deck and living room, a hot tub, fireplace and privacy. We plan on making some casserole and crockpot meals in advance so that we won't have to cook. We are getting together next Saturday to figure out what date we are going and book it so that we won't have to worry about coming up with so much money when the time comes.

We now have 4 people going which brings the house rental price down to $88 a person for 2 nights. I also found a massage therapist who makes house calls, she said she would give us a group rate of $125 for all 4 of us to get 1 hr massages. That is going to be our big splurge item of the weekend.
I had 2 other girls we are mutaully friends with contact me because they want to go on a trip too. It looks like we are going to do a couples weekend with them and their SO's.

Start small with people you know and get your practice in.
Personally I would love to do a get-a-way weekend but I won't
because the aggravation of planning for me is more stressful than the home I'm trying to get away from.
