Answer:

Dh went to a USAFA for college, so he's technically been in 8 years. We've been married almost 4 years, so that's how long I've been living a military life.
Answer:

5.5 years AD navy.

Ain't it great? ehhehe

We had the option to get out but decided this is just who we are.
Answer:

I was born into military family- Dad joined pre WWII and served 28 years getting out during Vietnam. After he retires we were still military but in different way.

I could not serve- failed the medical

Won my DH's heart when I packed his mobility bag in 15 minutes for Grenada- he was impressed. He thought it would be easier on me if he got out and stopped playing with bombs.

My brother served in 1st Gulf War and my sister served during Bosnia

My DD enlisted her Jr year of HS and 1 week after HS graduation was on her way to Bootcamp. She is expected to return from Iraq in early July- cross my fingers, eyes, toes etc.

So for about 9 years I was away from military life, I'm now 45.
DD says I didn't qualify as a dependent and thinks that Dependable Supporter would be an appropiate title
