Did you get morning sickness

Ask:
with every pregnancy?
I got very sick with my first pregnancy. I had to take a leave of absence from work and spend 2 weeks in bed.
The second pregnancy wasn't bad at all. A few bad days, but nothing big.
This one is definetly worse than the 2nd, but not as bad as the first, YET. I am hoping it doesn't get that bad. I have 2 kids to take care of now. I can't spend 2 weeks in bed.

My mom and I have a little theory that has proved true with her and now me. She was sick with every other kid. He first 2 kids were 13 months apart, then a gap between the 3rd. The 3rd and 4th(me) were 17 months apart then a gap before the 5th. So the kids she had close together she didnt's get sick with, because her body was still in baby mode.

So I got sick with my first, got pregnant with my second when dd turned 1 and I stopped nursing, so my body was still in baby mode. I have been out of baby mode for a year, got pregnant with this one and I am sick. So every other one with me too!

I only have 2 kids(girls). They are 19 1/2 months apart. I would agree with your analysis, though. My first one- I thought I had some rare disease and was dying- and no one wanted to tell me the truth. haha! I was so dehydrated from vomitting, I was in the hospital at least once a week for about 4 months to get rehydrated via IV's. I even passed out once and hit my head on the arm of the couch.
My second one wasn't too bad. I felt nauseas once in a while. I think I only vomitted 3 or 4 times and that was in my 2nd trimester.
I got pregnant for my 2nd one when my 1st one was 10 months old, so I must have been in baby mode still, too. I never looked at it that way. Thanks! It all makes since now.

I didn't get morning sickness with either of mine. I was very lucky.
Answer:

I had morning sickness (all day nausea actually) with both my boys. With my first the morning sickness lasted until right about 12 weeks. With my second it started earlier and wasn't completely gone until 16 weeks. All in all I thought it was worse the second time around. My boys are 25 months apart in age.

I had really horrible m/s with my first. I probably should have been on IV fluids a few times, but I don't think I complained enough for the OB/NP to realize how bad it actually was (I couldn't even keep water down). With my second and third (they're twins), I also had m/s. It wasn't quite as bad as the first time around, but my body was definitely still in baby mode. My first and the twins are 25 months apart, and I'd only stopped nursing a couple of months before I got pregnant. With the twins, the m/s lasted about 10 weeks, and I could only keep down about 3-4 tbs of food at one time. Not much fun! Thankfully my IL's were wonderful and helped out tons with Elise!

Hopefully this pregnancy goes well for you!

I threw up once with my first pregnancy, but we were staying in the Netherlands next to a cow farm with the windows open. My dh was a bit queasy the same day when the wind was blowing just right.

Other than that, I have never had morning sickness with any of my 3 pregnancies. I was very lucky.
