I've never heard of this. What do you put in the baskets and how many neighbors do you deliver them to? Is this something that your neighborhood does or are you just a very generous and caring person? I think this sounds like a wonderful idea to bring the neighborhood closer together! Wouldn't it be great to get this started in many communities!

we have done th\em in the past for teachers etc!! and for close friends!! I didnt get to it this year tho!! I love to do this as to me its a Celebration of spring!! I have just gotten small baskets or buckets form TArgtet for 1$ and fill them with a flower oand such!!!

I noticed that most of the people who responded saying they were familiar with this tradition were from the northwest. It must be a regional thing.
