About a year after I divorced I started dating. I don't hang out in bars and didn't have any hobbies or interests outside of the home other than saving as much money I could in the grocery store. I checked out the online dating scene... after several awful dates I let my friends and co workers fix me up with guys they claimed were perfect for me.....I often wondered if they were really my friends because they didn't seen to know what was good for me.
I eventually met the man I was meant to grow old with - I do not miss dating one bit!! I had some horrible dates... and wondered if anyone else had any bad date stories?
I could write a book... or at least a chapter so I'll start with one of mine:
Met a guy online, we exchanged pictures, full body (clothed) so he knew I was not a petite weight/height proportionate woman. SHortly after we sat down to dinner he told me I was a lot heavier than he expected. I was so shocked. During dinner he told me he was going to be out of town for 3 weeks and during that time he expected me to lose at least 15lbs. Again I was so shocked all I could do was agree. I was new to dating, it was hard for me to be the one to say nice to meet you and call it a night. When he walked me to my car we kissed - it was awful - but the worst part was when he asked me if I liked to "suck it" as he pointed towards his crotch. What a caveman.

OMG how horrible!!
Here is one of mine.....Just before we divorced I had my 10 year high school reunion, so I ran into a lot of people that I hadn't seen in, well, 10 years... The next year is when the marriage completely fell apart....so after I got "settled" and was ready to date....I looked up one of the guys that I had ran into at the reunion. So, we meet up for drinks, had a good time and decided to go out the following week for dinner. So, we are sitting at the table and he is talking about High School, blah blah blah BORING....and then proceeds to ....are you ready for this.....pull my high school picture out of his wallet!!! He had been carrying it around I was freaked out!! Needless to say, I did not talk to him again after that.

Answer:
I just want to know if there are actually any decent guys out there that actually want to be part of a relationship...or are they all just looking to get laid ?!!
Answer:
I actually found a decent guy after at least 2 dozen loser dates over 4 yrs. Ironically I found him after I quit looking. The lady who owns the little country store in the town he and I lived in introduced us.
Our 4th date is actually one of my dating bloopers so i will share it (I have soooo many)
He and I had been out to a local carnival and stayed to watch the fireworks. He had never been inside my house, since the kids were gone for the weekend I invited him over. I was not ready to spend the night with him... it was too soon plus I had my period so I figured I would have a better chance with self control. I was never proud of the home I lived in at the time, it needed a lot of work i could never afford to do on one income while raising 2 teenagers on my own so i warned him.
Nothing I said could have warned or apologized enough for what we walked into.
My dog had gotten into the bathroom trash - she dragged my used tampons and pads thru the house chewing and shredding them along the way. It was horrible, I just wanted to die. DH laughed after a minute, he did not offer to help me... instead he stepped back out on the porch until i was done. When I ushered him back in he broke the tense moment by saying... well I guess tonight is not a good night to stay over is it?
