Ask:
My MIL bought me a huge thing of detergent. It is Liquid Detergent Ultra. It says it has 96 loads. Does this kind clean well? What does it compare to?
TIA!!!
Answer:
That is all I use. I like it and get compliments all the time on my children's nice smelling clothes. Could be that or the fabric softener (also from Sam's). I think it is comparable to Tide, but a whole lot less!
Answer:
I started buying the 5gallon bucket of powdered laundry detergent (our house is so cold in the winter and laundry room is in the basement that liquid detergent almost freezes!!) I love it, all i do is laundry. LOads and loads of laundry! Blah blah blah... Dirt sees my youngest son and just clings to him, my dd fav past time is making mud pies and my oldest son is into anything athletic so getting dirty goes hand in hand with that apparently.

Answer:
I'm going to try this. I am trying different brands each time I run out, seeing which works best. I really liked the Tide. I am using Gain now, and while it is okay, I am not finding it worth the cost difference of the cheaper brands. I want the yummy smells that a good detergent leaves, but I also want stains jumping off in the wash!
Answer:
when I lived at my mil's she would buy the big bucket of powdered detergent store brand from cosco's. It was the worst it faded all my black clothes and my clothes were worn out quick. But I have heard good things about ultra
Answer:
I use Wal-Mart's Ultra (great value brand) I love it!! I use the same detergent, liquid softner and the softner sheets. It smells awesome and works well with stains. My ex husband actually called me the other day to find out what kind of detergent I was using because his new wife just loves how my kids clothes smell when they go visit him.
Answer:
I use Sam's power brand soap too. I like it. It lasts forever and with a family of 6 that counts!
