I was so careful to write down all dates for proms,confirmation etc.
I forgot to take tonight off for DS's GF Senior Prom.
I missed the Tux fitting-I was working when DS decided it would be cheaper and wiser to buy a classic doublebreasted Tux than rent a tux 4 times. This way he has it for future Use.
I missed the fitting of vest and all the jokes that went with it.
I missed seeing his new haircut and trimmed beard.
I will see all this on pictures after midnight but still I ache.
I have his prom ,baccalaureate and graduation all off so no big deal- right?!

Rosemarie, I wish I could say no big deal, but I completely understand where you are coming from. The older they get the tighter we hold and the more we want to see and be a part of. Just sending a big ole hug your way and reminding you to share pics of all of those upcoming events that you have off!!!!

DH called around 650 and said he was on his way with pictures- i can view through camera- have to wait until after midnight to load into computer.
First he has to stop at his Mom's to pick up some stuff then he says....
"Oh how do you work camera to review pictures?"
My MIL will now get to see the pictures before I do.
Just stab me in the back and then twist the knife
it's now 746 and he is just turning down his mom's street.
Maybe I should tell her that he will be spending the weekend with her.
Starting at 7am tomorrow morning
This way he can't mess up my day off tomorrow.
