Spinoff on CROCS... do you like these shoes?

Ask:
Ok, please bring me up to speed on these shoes. I have been seeing them here for years and thought they'd just die out, but apparently people really like these???

My question is: Do they make your feet sweat? Aren't they bulky?

I am just curious -- I actually tried on a pair of knock-offs, but felt very odd wearing them. Maybe I'm just an oddball!

So please clue me in --- maybe I'm really missing out on something and just don't know it!

p.s. My friend calls them *chuckles* what is this? A different brand?
Answer:

A couple of years ago when everyone was wearing these, I thought they were the ugliest things I ever saw. Everyone started wearing them at the nursing home where I worked and talked me into trying them. I don't wear anything else now!!! I have very bad feet with plantars facitous and lots of foot and leg pain. It got so much better when I got my Croc knock offs (no way would I pay as much as the real ones cost. I have 2 pairs from WalMart and one from Payless) They are pretty much the only shoes I can wear that do not hurt my feet and I can wear my inserts with them!!! Now I do not really care how ugly they are! I agree that they may be really sweaty, but I only wear mine with socks, and the holes in the vented ones (I have a winter pair with no holes) really help!
Answer:

I am with you, Kelly. I don't see the attraction of these shoes. My Mom bought some and I tried hers on. They would drive me crazy with sweaty feet. I have to admit, I have not seen that many people wear them here except nurses, but it is Florida where it would be incredibly hot and more likely to have sweaty feet.

Give me my birkenstock knock offs anyday! They don't make my feet sweat!
Answer:

Apparently I'm way out of the fashion loop, I have no idea what crocs are!
Answer:

I dont like them...my oldest dd doesn't either but my 4 yr old had to have a pair of crocs so I got her a pair off of shoebuy.com when they had $10 off so they was only like $15 but now that she has them she could careless if she wears them.....I was thinking the same thing about making your feet all sweaty and stinky...lol..
Answer:

If you had foot, leg and back pain like mine, you would!!!
Answer:

I thought they were clod-hopper looking when I first discovered them but I don't work and my old shoes don't fit after my pregnancies so the mock-croc's price is right for me! I did end up getting a real pair of crocs in the Mary Jane style and don't notice a comfort difference. I still think they are clunky but they are comfy, cheap, easy and who am I trying to impress! :-)
I haven't had much trouble with sweat in them.
Answer:

my kids both have them and my youngest LIVES in hers!! my oldest even has the rain boots!! she loves them *if she didnt have to wear tennies for gym she would live in them too!!! my kids both get sweaty feet easy and they dont make them at all!! they actually are better on there feet!! To be honest I dont think they are really too bad for price!! Esp if they wear them!! plus when they do get wet it doest matter!!
Answer:

believe or not my dh has a pair of Target knockoff crocs. He loves them around the house but he changes them before he leaves the house

I finally had ordered a pair of Birkenstocks and I am definitely liking those. Still have not worn out of the house because its not been warm enough not to have socks on.
