Ask:
Tunics!! Gotta love a trend that hides the belly of a woman who had 5 kids!!!
So glad the days of the short shirts are gone.
What are your thoughts on the patent leather shoe look? Could a 40 year old pull it off??
Answer:
I love that we are living in an era that almost anything goes! That means that one child, who has the figure for it, can wear skin tight jeans if she wants (and her daddy approves), another can wear the baggy ones that some are allowed to show six inches of their underwear (mine are NOT allowed that), and Mom can be okay with last season's clothes...yet another season!!
Answer:
I love the longer shirts that hide my 'muffin top'.
Answer:
I have to second the tunics. I am a 24 or 26 and short tops are just awful. I prefer to have my tummy covered by my tops. I also like the empire waist of babydoll tops, they also hide a multitude of sins, so to speak.
Answer:
I love, love, love the longer, slim fit t-shirt shirt styles. I have a long torso anyway and I always thought it was so unflattering to wear a boxy shirt that cuts off at the waist. The long shirts rock! And thank God, I think jeans with a slight flair are here to stay. Nothing makes hips look bigger than tapered jeans. I don't care if they are showing a lot of "slim fit" jeans, I'm a tapered girl forever.

I love all the new sundresses that are so flowy and not so form fitting. Like mom23 said, they can hide a multitude of sins. And I love that people (real moms that I see out and about) are wearing them with leggings. I think if you can pull it off, it is a really cute look. I feel ohso fashionable when I wear mine when I am shopping at Food Lion and WalMart!
Answer:
Longer shorts get my vote. I have great legs but I'm older and have to admit no one really wants to see mid-thigh shorts on a woman nearly in her 50's. I'm slowly transitioning to longer shorts (just above the knee). Thankfully I can find them in the stores now without having to shop in the 'old lady' section.
I have to admit, I'm not in favor of the babydoll tunics. It bothers me that all these teenaged girls are walking around in what is akin to a maternity top. I've been avoiding the style, for the most part, because when I put one on I look pregnant, too. However, some of the shirts are okay because they aren't too blousy.
I'm old fashioned - patent leather is a look for dressing up. I wouldn't wear it during the day unless I had a special occasion to attend.
Answer:
I agree with Cookie2 and I am glad that long shorts are coming back in style. After having 3 children I don't feel right wearing those short shorts anymore!
Answer:
I know I can pull the shorter shorts off, but I really don't want to. I'm glad for the longer shorts, too. I do like the longer tops. After 2 csections, short tops just show off a bulge that doesn't look so flattering!! And I can't wait to get some of the newer sun dresses. My DD loves dresses and I think it would be fun to be dressed up with her...out to the park or where ever!! I don't really have any dresses that I like, right now.
Answer:
I once tried on a cute babydoll tank top, it looked very cute on the rack. When i tried it on....blah! The material made me look bloated. Im glad I tried it on before I bought it.
Ive never worn short shirts - even when I was a teenager and thought back then that I was fat -- at a size 7. Id love to be that again!
I do love the longer shirts though, it handles lots of washing and shrinking in minimal!
