Dh always wanted chickens ( )...so we have chickens. They are egg layers so we will have fresh eggs...and I am guessing at some point some delicious chicken soup

We didn't . We just ordered an assortment of brown egg layers and got what we got. There are 5 each of 5 different varieties + 1 bonus exotic chick (may ). They are a nice assortment of colors though...hopefully they will be just as pretty when they are older.
Next year I wanna order the ones that lay the easter eggs. I think that would be great fun!

they are oh so cute... Please make sure yours DD's wash up really good after being around them and everyone else since Chicks can carry salmonella and they will not show any sings of it. I have a friend that raises chicks.
