Ask:
Hi all. I am new to the forum, but I do hope someone can offer some words of advice. I just joined a home biz. My sponsor is just not living up to the expectations that I had hoped. I am always emailing for information, because she usually does not provide any own her own. It takes her several days to answer emails, so in the meantime I just have to sit around wasting time until I can get a response from her. I was really excited about the new biz and I feel that I can do really well with it, but just not with this sponsor. I don't think I'm asking to much of her, to help me learn the ins and outs of the new biz, to respond to my emails within a reasonable amount of time, or am I?
This isn't the first home biz I've ventured into, but this is the first time I've had this problem. Am I being to hard on her? What should I do now? I'm not sure that I can change sponsors. I am just very disappointed in how its all progressing. I only have a certain # of days to accomplish certain things, and at the rate I'm going, its not going to happen with her. She is a very nice person, just not someone that I seem to be compatible with. Please help!
Answer:
Do you know who is above her??? I would email any of your concerns or questions to that person if this is something you really want to do.
Answer:
Yes, I do know who is above her, but I don't want to get her into trouble. I think she means well, but she just isn't giving me the guidance that I need to proceed to be successful with this.
Answer:
I think you know what you have to do. You are going to either suck it up and put up with this, OR you can talk to someone else and ask them to help you. Course the best solution would be to talk to her and let her know your concerns. Personally, I'm not sure I could do either, and I would just end up sucking it up and dealing with it. I'm such a wuss that way.
BTW, welcome to here!!!
Answer:
I have to agree with Missy on this!!!
Answer:
It's too bad that some people can give certain businesses a bad name. I think it makes the difference between a good and bad experience with the company. Not to mention, it can make the difference of if you make money or not.
Answer:
same here. good luck. i hope it all works out.

Answer:
It's hard to say without knowing what business it is. Are there possibly other resources to you other than this one person? Maybe a website/forum dedicated to the business? I have done plenty of home businesses and never relied on anyone to provide me with what I needed. I always went out and found my answers on my own.
Answer:
Hi, welcome to the group. Is the business one like tupperware, pampered chef? When I was looking into one of those type things to get into I found an advice/support group on yahoo, but I don't get there newsletters any longer and for the life of me can't remember the name.
Good luck!
Answer:
I had similar problems when I sold Tupperware a couple years ago. My "sponsor" just was no help at all, and while I am usually one to go find answers on my own, there were a lot of things I had to learn the "tupperware way" and the info had to come from another consultant in my region, and I knew nobody else.
I eventually contacted her director and told her what was going on and wound up staying in contact w/ her for any help I needed. I was able to play it off to my sponsor that I needed an answer right away and knew she was busy and wouldn't be able to help me in time so I contacted her director, that way I avoided causing any trouble. She (sponsor) wound up quitting a couple months later, so it wasn't a big deal afterall thankfully.
Hope you can find some help soon, I know how discouraging it is when you're just starting out to not have the support you need! Good Luck!
