Ask:
So I am brushing Riley's hair (something she hates) and I hit a
tangle. I am trying to work it out very gently, but Riley keeps
saying, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" So I start saying it back to her,
"Oh my gosh Riley! Oh my gosh!" She turns around and looks at me very
seriously and tells me that we don't need to say words like that. I
burst out laughing and tell her that no, its ok to say "Oh my gosh".
She thinks about it for a second or two, nods her head and says ok.
I hit another tangle and my sweet little princess says, "Oh my sh*t!
Oh my sh*t!"
Was it not clear that "Oh my gosh!" was acceptable? LOL
Answer:
It's funny where they pick up those words.
Last month we were out working in the yard and dd was up on her slide. And she said "What the hell are you doing down there?" Dh and I had to have her repeat it just to make sure we heard he right. That is not a word we use around here.
