Thanks for the heads up on that one. THey had some really good pointers that I definately could have used. Even though I am going back to my former employer after only 8 months I still had to justify my time spent away from working. Using local resources and friends is a huge contributor to getting a employment in my opinion. THat is how I got this job in the first place and I had been at home for almost 2 years with part time jobs here and there.
Another great point she had was to physically go the place that is hiring. Nothing shows more determination than presenting yourself to the employer. I will be honest when I was a Manager we skimmed through our online resumes but really paid attention to the ones that walked in. It showed that they had initiative and determination to work.
