Ask:
Hey ladies! I am 30 weeks and I am feeling great. However, I have a desk job from 8 - 4. Around noon I start feeling uncomfortable, like I can't stay in one position in my chair. I walk around a little bit, but once I sit down I feel uncomfortable again. Anyone else experience this? It usually isn't an issue and I have had a WONDERFUL pregnancy so far, so I am not complaining. Just curious if anyone had any staying comfortable at work techniques you used.
Answer:
it might be a bit expensive, but have you thought about a massage pad to put on your chair? or what about a lumbar support?
i would love to have one of those shiatsu mats for a chair. that would feel so good right now.
i noticed that my joints are starting to get loose. do you feel the same thing?

Answer:
Has the baby dropped? As soon as my son dropped, I could not sit comfortably again for the rest of my pregnancy. He was putting so much pressure on my cervix it drove me nuts.. I couldn't really do anything about it, but luckily I wasn't working a desk job. Instead I was on my feet for 12 hours a day as a CNA at a nursing home. Which sucked b'c when I could finally sit down to rest, I couldn't ever get comfortable enough to really feel rested. I know that's not a "staying comfortable at work technique".. sorry. lol i didn't mean to steal your thunder! good luck though and congrats!
Answer:
I think it is a little early for the baby to drop and it isn't discomfort in that region. I just start kind of feeling funky all over and can't sit still. Thanks for suggesting the chair massage thing. I will definitly go a look for something neat for the chair.
My hips feel like they have started to loosen up. They tend to get a little sore and it is harder to get up from sitting on the floor - I know what is the pregnant lady doing on the floor! I'm not really on the floor, I just like to take baths and have to call my husband to help me so I can actually get out of the tub! Poor husband!
Answer:
right now i'm doing a prenatal yoga. it's blissful! it really seems to help with the joint issues. but getting out of bed is literally a PITA! i try to limit the water intake at the end of the night so i don't have to pee as much. but the rolling over hurts! i ended up not going to work today because i had horrible heartburn. i try to sleep a little more elevated and it ends up hurting my hips!
anywho... good luck finding some comfort! do you have a Esthiology school by you? the school by me has $30 1.5hours massages. it feels so good after!

Answer:
I had problems with my hips before I was preg and I found that during my pregnancies a maternity belt really helped alot, especially if I was either sitting or standing for long periods of time. The support was also good for my lower back.
