Just hollow out the seat & add net. Paint the chair however you like & plant away! Mom made this for me a few years ago. I love it. I put white carnations in there this summer.

I took it to mean add netting where the plant will sit (so that it can be watered and be able to drain and not drown).... Now I'm curious....

Yep, you can add some mesh netting, just tack it around the edge of the cut out circle & plant right in the chair. That way you don't have to get the same size conatiner everytime. Just plant what you want!
