Ok tried Lexapro didnt wrk for me..now onto Zoloft anyone else on it?

Ask:
Hi everyone

Well last week i tried lexapro and i did not like it. I only used it for 3 days but during that time i could not sleep at night (was up to 3 am not worried just up and really awake), shakey (kind of like parkinsons), hungry at 1 am really hungry, and just sort of depressed.

I know that those symptoms might have passed if i were to stay on it and get into my system but those symptoms alone were driving me crazy trust me i need no help on that one ..

So. dr recommned zoloft anyone else on it? what are your expriences. Not really looking forward to trying another but..
Answer:

Zoloft did the same thing for me. BUT, I have an 11 year old niece and a bil who are on it and LOVE it. If it does NOT work for you, though, know that there are others in a different "line". Welbutrin and Prozac are just two that I know of. Cembalta (sp?) is another, I am pretty sure. Give it a few weeks...but if it isn't working, don't be afraid to call again. I have been through FOUR before finding the right one!! I figure the pharmacist has to think I am a druggie...or have some way serious problems!!
Answer:

I have never taken Zoloft. But sometimes things resolve themselves in a week or so.
I have taken lots of other AD. I hope this works for you.
Answer:

Over the years, I have been on 'em all! Nothing ever truly works consistently for me. I have currently been on Prozac for several months and it's helping, but I can tell when my dosage needs to be upped. I am allergic to Wellbutrin, and have tried cymbalta, effexor, lexapro, and several others. The key is that everyone is different and every medication doesn't do the same thing for everyone. It really is a trial and error kind of situation, which sucks when you need relief immediately from how you feel! Some of the meds made it worse for me, and some helped to take the edge off, but just not enough. I don't expect to have some miraculous recovery, just to feel a little more normal and not like a screaming lunatic! :-) Good luck with whichever you try and I hope that you quickly find something that helps!
Answer:

I was on zoloft a few years ago.

It did some odd things to me, but it was just me, i think everyone is different.

I was on it for anxiety. First it made my stomach hurt, so I could barely eat for a week. After that, all I wanted to do was eat. It made my hair fall out like crazy and it also made it impossible to.... do certain things in the bedroom if ya know what I mean. I was only on it for about a month and ahalf before I went off it cold turkey. (bad, bad idea)
Answer:

zoloft turned me into a zombie!!!
Answer:

I am on zoloft right now - at first they didn't have my script right and things just kept getting worse and worse. They just upped the dosage the beginning of the week and things are getting better. Today is the first day I'm starting to feel like myself. I actually feel like bouncing off the walls. I don't know if that's the joy of finally feeling like me again or what?
Answer:

I have been on it for eight months and haven't had any problems. I've tried some other ADs that made me super tired or more anxious (which I thought wasn't possible). I hope it works well for you!
