Answer:
I took a bachelor's level statistics class and a master's level statistics class. Actually it was one of my favorite classes, but then I always loved math. The thing I like about statistics is that there's a definite clear answer and all you have to do is make sure you follow all the steps carefully and you can get to it. So my advice would be just to make sure you know the steps, and then be VERY careful when working the problems. If you make a little mistake anywhere along the way you'll never get to the right answer. And double check!! Good luck.

I took social statistics, a sociology class (required for my major). It turned out to be way more interesting than I ever thought it would be!

I took a basic stat class, but I like math also. I agree with aliadam follow the steps. I did actually get behind and it was VERY hard to catch up. I even went to the professor for help.

I took a business stats class and absolutely hated it!! I was able to drop it without penalty.
Answer:
I took one many, many years ago...not the best class but definitely not one of my worst (organic chemistry, you know who you are!)
Answer:
I got behind because I was intimidated by the really scary-looking book. I got a graduate student to tutor me (cheap) and really became fascinated by the subject. I also figured out during my business math classes that I learn things like math much better in a one-on-one situation, so the tutor was always a great thing for me. There should be an office at your school where you can hire one - best money you will spend!!!
Answer:
I took one when I was getting my undergrad degree. I started out really worried about it because I don't like math, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
Answer:
Find a good teacher! I took statistics at Purdue and it WAS a bear....mostly because I am not very good at math.
Anyhow, I got through it after I switched teachers and ended up in Psychology Statistics rather than the regular Statistics. The only difference was that they applied Psychology to it....but it kind of made it easier for me. One of my friends was in the Psych. Statistic class recommended the teacher to me and also became my study buddy.
Study buddies are a must sometimes!!!
Good luck!

I am pretty good at math but had a hard time with Stats in college. My best advice is to find a good teacher. Mine was intellegent, but he spoke broken enclish and didn't know how to bring things down to a level we could understand. I passed, but I couldn't even begin to tell you what I learned.
