stamp prices are going up!

Ask:
Which of course I need stamps. Anyone bought any of the new forever stamp? Is it a good deal or about the same?
Answer:

I hate it when they raise stamp rises!! I don't mail many letters, but it annoys me when I have to make a special trip to the post office to buy extra stamps when I do want to mail something.

I'm going to buy a roll of those Forever stamps. That should last me for the next 5 years.
Answer:

I just bought 200 permanent stamps (what we call them in Canada) this week. It didn't save me any money now but I sure got tire of having to go to the post office to buy more 1 cent stamps every time the price of stamps went up .. and that seems to happen frequently. I love the idea that they will always work. (We go through a lot of stamps with the work we do).
Answer:

I think the forever stamps are a pretty good idea if you can shell out the money to buy them now. Stamp prices continue to go up so this would be a way that if you bought enough, 3 years from now when stamps are 50+ cents you would be saving money. Of course I would just lose them.
Answer:

Anyone know off the top of their head when they go up, I think it might be Saturday.
Answer:

Monday, May 14

What do you mean?

If you buy any of the "Forever" stamps, they'll be good...well, forever. They cost 41 cents each, which is what first class letter postage will be, starting Monday. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question...

Answer:

I pay for a majority of my bills online. So a roll of these stamps should last a long time.
Some bills I cant pay online

Does anyone know if Costco is selling these?

Answer:

The forever stamps are available now at most Post Offices. May 14th the rates go up. I agree with everyone the price increase is a pain in the neck, it's just as much of an annoyance to those who work at the post office too. It's not the USPS itself that is asking for this rise in cost, it's actually a congretional board that wants to build up an escrow account for the USPS, only we do not see the benefits of this,,,,,no one is getting a raise. I can't explain it that well but on another website there is a guy who posts this stuff and explains it much better than i can.
