Ask:
I'm really having trouble doing both at the same time! I'm feeling so deprived!
Anyone else trying to do both and finding it a struggle? (I don't mean the cost of the diet, I mean trying to cut back in two areas of your life at once, money and food.)
Answer:
Oh Yes and mainly because I know what will help me the most. The first being joining Weight watchers and the second being joining a gym. Both cost more then we can afford right now. I know those are cost of the diet things but they have been the only things to work in the past. I am also still nursing thus needing to eat more for that and I am not finding the will power to say no when I am faced with a playdate that is serving a killer desert.
Its a struggle and you really need to have support and faith in your ablity to do both.
Answer:
I've started eating healthier: to lose some weight and my sister was just warned about high cholosterol and blood pressure (she's younger). So I've been buying healthier food and what do you know but the grocery bill went up. Ahhhh! I've tried to keep under budget but to buy fat free is so expensive. I'm having a hard time staying in the budget, ok really most of the time I've gone over. I would love to join a gym, but that's so out of the question. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Answer:
Instead of joining a gym, buy some dumbells and a workout DVD or workout book and start on your own. Try to get an exersize partner/accountability partner. Having a partner helps the most.
Remember to take it one day at a time. If you fall off the wagon then start over the next day. Don't wait for Mondays.
Answer:
Actually I did a post on this a little while ago and I find it Easier to do both at the same time! I guess it goes hand in hand with more self control for me. It seems when we live 'high on the hog' that means we're going out to eat a lot and you know the consequences for that! When we're really watching $ it's easier for me to buy less expensive items to eat and I tend to eat less rich foods...and my portions tend to get smaller!!
