My DH said that we can do Mothers Day when he gets back, but it is still not the same. Not sure if I will ever get used to him missing out on all the important days of the year.

He will be home soon and he will give you the proper recognition you need. Without you, there's no him. You are holding your family together. That is certainly something to be proud of

Ohh I know don't be sad. Just celebrate it some other time. Big deal really its just a date. Any date in the calendar can be a Mother's Day.

By the sounds of me, anyone would think that I am a new military spouse, not one for 7 years, and I was with him for 2 years before that!! I sound pathetic. But he was able to call, so that made my day!
