Ask:
My first and second graders had a soccer game this morning at 10. dh, me,4 yr old and 9 yr old went. It was okay. Then ds (9) had 2 games this after noon, one at 12:30 and one at 1:45. Dh was not going to make it because he was taking our puppy over to the next town to try to sell him. I thought he was taking the little one with him, but no, he said it would be too hard! Ugh, so I took all three boys (dd is at a friends) with me to the other son's soccer. I packed a bag of toys and books and lemonade. We get there and it is sprinkeling off and on. Then it really starts to rain. I got out an umbrella from the van and was thinking the second game would be called off. Guess not!!! By the time the second game started it was thundering and lightening and raining off and on. Little on was antsy as could be and the other two were sitting in the van. By the time the game ended we were all sitting in the van and it was pouring!!! Then on the way home, my service engine soon light comes on!!!! Ugh!!! What does this mean? I do not have the time or the money to take my van in right now, but I have to have it operational!!! Why does everything have to be so dang complicated???? Now I have to unpack the bag of wet books and wash and dry our blanket. Dh better sell that dang dog!!!
Answer:
I can't believe the coaches allowed the game to continue in a thunderstorm! When my dd was playing soccer, they would immediately call the game off at the first crack of thunder.
As for the service engine light, it could either be a sensor needing to be replaced or possibly your gas cap wasn't completely screwed on after the last time you filled up with gas (yes, this has happened to me before). Either way, as long as your van is running fine, it will probably be OK for a little while.
Sorry you had a lousy day. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.
