I forgot my credit cards/debit card at home and couldn't pay! The cashier rang up all my groceries, started taking off the coupons and I look in my wallet thing and realize I don't have my card holder (just the ones with insurance cards and other store cards) with my credit card and debit card and license. I said uh-oh pretty loud and she stopped scanning the coupons and said, what happend, you don't have... and I stopped her and said yeah, I left them at home! I had been on the computer ordering something and left it sit next to the computer on the desk. So she said just run home and I'll finish scanning the coupons and bag everything up. I was so relieved and told her I live like 1mi away and would be right back and I was. Connor started crying when we left because he wanted his CHIPS! (his Pringles I had bought, or rather couldn't buy, lol) and Evan started a 100 questions, where are the groceries, why couldn't we take them home, why don't you have your cards etc. Ugh! I need a new brain, or an extra long beach vacation alone.

I've done that before too and its because I've been ordering stuff on the computer too! Its nice that the cashier was so understanding.

A friend of mine did that at Michael's the other night....after two hours of qulaity time picking out just what she wanted...only to discover her wallet was not in her purse. I don't think it has ever happened to me...but I am sure glad your cashier was nice enough to hold it all for you. THAT is service!

I have done that before, where I go to write a check and no checks in the book!!! They are usually pretty nice about it.

Me too but it was at Aldi's and they only take cash or debit card. I only had my credit card, so I just went to atm and got cash and was back within 5 min. My cashier was really nice about it too!

I've done that exact same thing,,, debit card laying by the keyboard lol... only problem,, we live 30 miles from the store,,, i worried terribly about the cold stuff ruining while i was gone for the 40 minute round trip. then i realized, a good family friend works close to the store, so I got HIM to come pay for our groceries ,,, what a moment!! lol you have my complete sympathy
