Ugh I'm getting frustrated!!
My virus protection ran out a few weeks ago and I hadn't updated. Pretty sure I got something!
On Friday I went ahead and downloaded a new virus protection AND ran adaware. It took me about 2 hours to get my computer straightened out. But it was working great!
Now today I'm having trouble again. Adaware and my virus thing aren't catching anything! My computer keeps shutting off, and I get a million error messages at startup.
I KNOW there must be something how do I find it and get rid of it??

Mine was doing this at work a couple of weeks ago. Apparently there is a worm that is disguised as an update for McAfee and HP printers.
I had to send mine in to our IT department for repair. Have you tried doing a system restore to Friday when everything was working good?

Nope I didn't. Seems to be working okay for the minute, after the last hour of constand errors, I hit restart and it started up normally. I have NO idea whats up??
Dh has a disc that helps clean this stuff up, he uses it for everyone else, I need it now!
OH and this is odd.... I keep getting a balloon that says my virus protection is turned off?? SO I click the balloon and windows virus protection is indeed turned off! I didn't even know I had that? Never even saw it before?? I checked it again 5 muinutes later and it was on??? Then I rechecked it, it was off again. Its still off right now. I'm so confused! And there are no directions on how to turn it back on again! ugh!
