Spinoff: What ingredients do you keep handy?

Ask:
So this is a spinoff from the Emeril and Rachel Ray post.. about having too many ingredients.

My question is.. what ingredients/seasonings etc.. do you ALWAYS have on hand??

My number one is taco seasoning. I could live on tacos. So I keep lots of taco seasoning on hand. Season all salt, garlic salt, I try to keep egg noodles on hand at all times. What about you???

Answer:

I keep a block of parmesan cheese (love fresh grated parmesan), pasta, olive oil, different kinds of canned beans such as red, black and fat free refried. I can usually make something for dinner from what I keep on hand. I love to make linguine with garlic and cheese, it's so easy and quick, basically just some grated parmesan and garlic added to olive oil and mixed with pasta. I add a salad and some rolls if we have it and it's dinner!

Answer:

We overstock, I laugh because the neighbors will call to barrow stuff instead of driving 15 miles to town. I usually have everything they need. I let them down this weekend, I didn't have any water chesnuts.. I don't have a big grocery bill as we don't buy meat or many veggies.. Were farmers and I have a garden...
