I have verizon's basic phone LG. I let another person use my phone yesterday and I think she locked it? I just realized as I tried to call dh. no matter what key I hit nothing happens. I can't even turn it off. Then I realize the time on the phone says tues may 15 7pm, which is exactlt the time the person used the phone. she is not cell phone literate, not that I am, but she really doesn't know how to use them. I showed her but the location we were at had no service so she went outside. I don't even know how to unlock it, if that is what she did? shouldn't the time/date still keep updating even if key lock?

Try verizon wireless website and look up the exact model phone you have. You may be able to find some info there. I have a verizon phone. What model do you have?

Call Verizon's technical division. Should be 24 hrs and cust. svc. should be able to get you there if there's no automated prompt.

i have a LG VX3200 as far as I can tell. we got there most basic phone. I don't even know where any paperwork is. dh handles all this stuff.

okay I felt dumb calling but yeah for me I got someone who probably is from the US. she had me take off battery and wait 30 sec and put it back in. get this, at first I couldn't get it out, didn't realize I had to hold the button. then I couldn't get the battery back in. I gave up at that point and told her I was done for the night and thank you. then as I really looked at the DA#@$%@^!%# thing I realize I was putting it in right side up and the batterery goes upside down. It works now thats all I care about. DOn't know why I didn't think to take out battery. dh is gonna laugh his butt off.

nope, no key worked. couldn't get to unlock to even try that. I had to take battery out(reboot). thanks though, b/c until this happened I didn't even know that.

If it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't have guessed the battery! That's a flaw, isn't it. Unlock my phone by taking the battery off.
If you haven't coded it yourself, a lot of phones use the code 1234 or 0000 to unlock.
