My mil was supposed to have a procedure today. She has a bed sore on her bum and it was getting infected. But, she was unable to have it done because she has got a blockage, an irregular heart beat and her lungs are filling with fluid. It's not looking good for her at all. The moved her to icu this morning.
My uncle is in the same icu. He has had a reocurring problem with his intestine. For some reason they twist. This happened to him November and they did surgery and just happened again. They thought they were going to be doing a 20 minute operation and ended up working on him for 3 hours. They say this will continue to happen. He looks terrible.

Oh how sad! and prayers coming for your family! (My dd, now 3, was born with a malrotated intestine, which made it easier for her to get blockages. The doctors couldn't figure out why she wasn't tolerating her food. By the time they fixed the blockage and the malrotation, her small bowel had almost completely perforated. SCARY!) So, I really feel for your family.
