Ask:
I put this here to get more exposure but move if you need to.
I have asked this question before, but we have SO many new people lately and I am always looking for something new.
Seems we are always in a rut of pasta.
PB and J is usually not well accepted and hotdogs have also gotten the cold shoulder lately.
Any responses are appreciated!!

My kids absolutely LOVE PB&J's...so I am lucky! They have that almost daily, with a fruit, veggie & pretzel/cheezits. If we are feeling crazy and want to live on the edge, we will have quesadillas for lunch!
Answer:
Today we had pasta with peanut sauce. The girls like their fair share of mac-n-cheese. But, they also like grilled cheese and apple sandwiches, any kind of sandwich in a wrap (we use whole wheat tortillas). I will make creamy sweet potatoes with almond butter. Sometimes I will even make up a batch of french toast for lunch.

Answer:
It is easy to get into the lunch rut. I dont think we do anything real extravagant for lunches. I do try and keep it a little simple. I would rather slave over the stove for dinner than for lunch. So let's see...
All types of sandwiches but for a change use tortillas or pita pockets instead of bread.
mac & cheese-throw in some cut up hot dogs or leftover hamburger meat. Leftover taco meat is really good.
Canned soups or Chef Boyardee
salads-we do lots of cobb salads in the summer when it is too hot to eat anything else.
Crackers, cheese and apple slices.
Leftovers-I always fry up extra chicken legs for lunches for later in the week.
Frozen fish sticks or chicken strips with tator tots/french fries
Hot dogs and chips
You could buy some pre-shaped hamburger patties. those make nice quick hamburgers for lunches.
Frozen pizza. Totinos are always on sale here for $1.00 each. Pizza and carrot sticks.
That is all I can think of right now. Hope this helps.
Answer:
To get in the veggies I almost always serve baby carrots, cukes, and broccoli with dip. Then I either do a sandwhich (cold cuts or tuna, and cheese, or pb and j) chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, a frozen pizza, mac n cheese, hot dogs, etc. Lunches around here never get very fancy with the new baby here...
