Ask:
3boysmommy started a thread about completed her first book with 29 pages and 59 layouts....
Which is awesome!!
But here is my question....do you "scrap" every single picture?? Do you add pages to the books you buy??
What is the norm??
And I am guessing that there really is no "norm", just personal preference. But curious as to what you all do.
I just finished my honeymoon book which was the 10 "pages" that the book came with 20 layouts...I thought 20 layouts was a good amount. Granted I did just pick out the "good" photos, and the rest are still in those "old fashion" albums.
So, what do you guys do??
Answer:
With six kids, I have HUGE, thick books! I don't do every photo..but I do a lot of them. I squeeze more pictures on each page than most of you do, too. I HAVE to!!
Answer:
I see myself doing a little of both.
Initially I saw it as a way to display our alpacas (after we get some ) for sale, breeding and general purpose info about the farm. That kind of book is one that I will probably continue to add to as we grow.
With our family/everyday photos I will probably just pull a few of the best ones, since most are kept on the computer anyway.
Answer:
I have one big book that I just add to. All of my pictures are family pictures. Now I'm doing the BOM, which is added to each week. I also have a book for each of the boys, which are on-going. I'm thinking of breaking it down to a baby bok for each of the boys and then do something else with the others. I don't know!
Answer:
I have way to many to even think about it. I have most of the best pics that I scrap and the rest go in albums but are mostly currently in photoboxes!
Answer:
I just keep adding pages & layouts to the boys books until they can't hold anymore. The 8x8 book I'm doing about our pets I've not decided if I'll add more to or not.
Answer:
I do not scrap every picture. Maybe half. But with 3 kids and a niece I scrap for, it's a lot.
I usually add pages as long as I can increase the spine enough for the cover to lay flat, otherwise I don't and have been known to remove pages to make up for pages that are really thick. I HATE when my albums pop open!
The album that Bucsnpats is referring too was of our family vacation. I wanted all of it in one album, thus it has lots of pages and is thick. I think I increased the posts 3 time! My other albums ars are not that thick. Someone told me I could get more pages in the 3 ring albums, but I' never tried them.
Answer:
Just wanted to add that I don't scrap all my pics. I only use the good ones; the rest just get put away.
