Packing The Day's Meals and Snacks

Ask:
There are a lot of diet programs that send you prepared, pacakged food. You become robotic and just eat these foods because they are there for you to eat, and there is no thinking involved. While this is a nice idea, I'd rather have fresh foods from my cupboards and fridge, yet it's so time consuming to prepare healthy meals/snacks. So, I was thinking of sitting down the night before and writing out everything I should eat, then packing what I can into a pretty little bag in my fridge. This way I'd know exactly how many calories I'd be consuming in one day before the day even begins. Does anyone else do this? And if so, is it working for you?
Answer:

Sounds like a great idea to me not mention the money savings. I don't do this but I probably should.
Answer:

What a great idea. My biggest problem is I open the fridge and start snacking while I'm preparing lunch/ dinner/ etc. Or I'll eat late at night after dinner. If I had it laid out ahead of time, maybe I could stop myself from eating once my "bundle" is gone.

Worth a try!
