Ask:
I am tired of it. The last two we have done...added up together...didn't total $80. I put a lot of work into it, neglect my kids, and bicker with people over a quarter. I am done. I took all but a few items over to Goodwill. I saved a comforter, a baby doll, and then my friend literally gave me a computer monitor of hers that didn't sell. I am sunburned, tired, but at least I have simplified my life..AND cleaned my garage to boot!
Answer:
You are so right - you have cleaned out lots of stuff you don't need and that is worth it. But I am sorry you did not make enough money to make it worth your while!!!
Answer:
so sorry, but it does feel good to get rid of all that stuff and to clean out the garage.
Answer:
Sorry things didn't go that great. We didn't have the turn out we had hoped for. I had 2-3 big buys which helped and we ended up with $150 total. I saved the clothes and will consign the spring/summer stuff this week. Hopefully I will do better with that this time than I did last time. I know this probably sounds selfish, but I just can't stand to give away good name brand clothes when I know I can get something for them at some point.
On a sadder note (and slightly humorous at this point)...I stepped off my dads porch wrong and fell. I twisted my ankle and scrapped my knee...and this was at 9:00!!
Answer:
I do consignment sales as well....and I had brought in about $300 in that a few months ago. I guess I can add that in to my total to feel better!! SOMETHING is going to have to make me feel better through this lovely sunburn I aquired today!
Answer:
Sorry your garage sale didn't work out that well. I am wanting to have one in about 2 weeks but I don't know how it will do. I also don't like just giving away name brand clothes. I wish it wasn't such a hassle getting everything ready for the garage sale! It's so frustrating!!!
Answer:
No matter what you do or have, sometimes they go great and sometimes they don't. This was a neighborhood one and NO ONE did well. There was just not a lot of traffic.
Answer:
Sorry!! most of the time it's better to donate and take the tax deduction!
