Ask:
We have an electric griddle and I use dishsoap and a sponge to clean it but it doesn't seem to remove the grease or whatever it is. The food and stuff comes off but theres a residue or something still on it every time. Any ideas?
Answer:
Are you using Dawn? That's the ONLY brand I've ever found to remove grease. Also, we always wiped the griddle down thoroughly w/paper towels before washing to remove as much grease as possible.
Answer:
it's a generic dawn. got it free when we bought our water treatment system. We do wipe w/ paper towels after we're done and it doesn't make difference. Thanks for the help though. I wonder if its grease or not?
Answer:
Mine does that too sometimes. Here's what I have found works best. When I am finished using it, I turn the heat down really low and place wet paper towels on it for a few minutes. Then everything wipes right off. HTH
Answer:
Mine does not have a 'nonstick' surface, so I just use a little barkeepers friend (powdered cleanser) and a sponge and it comes right off.
Answer:
try baking sode paste and then a rag damp with vinegar.
