Nursing/ Calories

Ask:
Anyone know how many calories nursing burns???
Answer:

I believe about 300-500 per day. Though many will dispute this, as with anything.
Answer:

I think it is approximately 500 calories per day. At least that is what WW says. . .
Answer:

If you are still nursing 8 - 10 times a day, then it's between 800 & 1000. I believe it's roughly 100 cal per session according to The Womanly Art of Nursing (La Leche League book) Taking in 500 more calories a day than before pregnancy allows for a moderate weightloss while maintaining supply and nutrients.
Answer:

I know that while you are pregnant you are supposed to be burning/using an 300 extra calories a day.

I have an oreo problem and my midwife said to wait and eat them once I have the baby because I will be burning so many calories then. I know she said it was at least 1000.
