Update on the little boy I am watching and my dogs

Ask:
Remember the little 2 year old I was watching part of last week and part of this week? He was afraid of my dogs. Well, two days into it and he walked in the house today looking for the dogs.

He is now petting them and playing with them. His fear is conquered! YIPPEE!!

Makes my life easier the next few days.

Now, off to the park to wear them out! Tomorrow I may have them wash my car and sort of kill two birds with one stone sort of idea.
Answer:

Wow! That's wonderful. This should make things a whole lot easier for you.
Answer:

Thats great Have fun at the park. One of the water play ideas I like is I let the kids clean up their toys cozy coop, wagon the big stuff. Not sure if you have all that since he is temporary. My kids love it!
Answer:

My little 6 pound dog scares the mes out of my friend's 5 and 2 year old. I have no idea why. She doesn't jump on anyone...and if she did, she can't possibly hurt!! Evertime they come over, I hear them cry and whine the entire time about Zoey...but this is ZOEY'S house..and I am NOT putting her outside for them. I am so glad for you, the dogs, AND the 2 year old!!!!
Answer:

Wow! You are a lucky gal! Have fun today!
Answer:

That is awesome, Claire. You have done this child (and his parents) such a favor! My ds has a friend that is petrified of dogs - any animals, really - and it makes it so hard for him to go over to people's houses. He couldn't go on the field trip to the petting zoo because he was so afraid. He is almost 7 and still won't even pet the classroom bunny rabbit. That is no way to live, IMO. Good for you for helping him work through it!

Oh, and my kids absolutely love to wash my car. I give them some sponges and rags and a bucket and the hose and it keeps them busy for a good hour.
Answer:

Now if I can get him so he won't scream if he hears a train! It goes right next to the children's park and he screams bloody murder!!

But, baby steps! I am glad he is not afraid of my dogs!
Answer:

I'm so glad that he's used to them, and that you were able to help him overcome his fear!
Answer:

Good for you, & him, I knew it would work out. And like someone else said you've done this child a favor by helping him get over his fear!!

The train thing is a bit freaky, does he think it'll jump the track or something??? Maybe he needs to watch a few Thomas the Tank Engine videos!!
