Wedding Invites

Ask:
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make wedding invitations cheaply? I am getting married next April, hopefully in an outdoor ceremony if weather permits, if not we also have a church reserved. We are on a pretty tight budget and don't have to much money to spend on invitations. I am thinking we we will need 75-100 invitations. I am looking for something simple and cheap, but don't necessarily look simple and cheap. Any ideas, would be apprieciated. Thanks!!!

Michaels sells some kits to make invitations that are very nice. It gives you everything you need to look like designer invitations. You would print the wording on your computer. If you have access to a nice laser printer (might be worth the little cost to take them to Kinkos, etc. and have them printed there) they would look very professionally done. Then you could do the rest of the assembly.

Don't know the actual price, but with the normal 40% off coupon they should not be bad at all. Also, watch around the holidays becuase Michaels usually puts in a 50% off coupon. Also, in June they usually run a wedding special so they may be on sale pretty soon.

Good luck.

Paper Zone sells boxes of invites that you can run through your printer. Its what I did the cost was $120 for 200 invites, For responce cards I made them post cards on card stock so I could save on postage. Another thing you can do is make a 5x7 photo card and take it to costco and have them printed for like 0.30 thats what I will probably do with birth announcements the next time arount.

I bought the package of invites you print from Target (you can get them at Walmart, hobby lobby, etc) and then printed them on my computer in a nice font and then tied a ribbon, two actually in the center. People complimented me on them a lot wanting to know where I got them, lol.

It depends on your style though. Do you want something more casual, formal. What colors are you doing? Do you have a theme?

I went to Staples and bought a package of paper that had a pretty design around the edges. Then my DH typed something and went it was all printed the wording was in the middle. It was very pretty and didn't cost alot. HTH
