As with a lot of people DH and I are living paycheck-to-paycheck, at best. lately, it's been getting harder to pay bills ontime and in full. DH was searching on line today for things to help us out and came across a company called NOMOREmortgage.com. They are a debt elimination company. Does/Has anybody heard of this company, worked with them, any experience with them. I am interested in what they are offering but a little leary of companies like this and was curious if anyone else has used them or knows of them.

I would definitely be suspicious. Any company that charges you for services you can get for free elsewhere is a rip-off in my book. They seem to be preying upon people who think there is any easy way to becoming debt free. The only way to get debt free is to pay down your debt, live below your means, and start putting money aside in order to build wealth. It's not a huge secret, it just takes discipline. Hang around these forums, because our moms will give you great advice on how to do all of that... and here is free!

I agree with Kim, i would stay away from places like that and just do it on your own. See if you can find some Dave Ramsey books at your local library and books on frugal living.
Debt consolidation business are popping up everywhere, because they know there is good money to be made off people who are desperate to end their debt. Lots of these places take advantage of you when you are down.
