Okay ladies, I have to go to a wedding this saturday! and I am freaking out! I have spent the last week looking for something to wear.
The problem is this is the first "American" wedding I am going to, all the ones before are Indian/Pakistani and I have a huge selection of clothes for them. For this I have nothing. The wedding is in the evening, so semi formal I guess, nothing on the invite to stat how the wear should be.
I have been looking for a nice top and blank skirt and match the shoes/strappy sandles to the top. here is one top I like. fits nice, I just went to Fashion Bug and the fashion seems to be empire waist tops, but they look like maternity tops to me!
tell me how this looks and I will add some indian style jewllery with this in the same green color, put my hair down and actually wear some makup!
It is the 17th image, I also like the 12th one too.
I want to keep with the indian theme since that is who I am!

I like the green one...but I am partial to green. I think a nice pair of black "wide leg" pants would be nice with the green one and your little black strappy sandals. But, that's just me!
P.S. I can't see the pictures. I tried right clicking and saying "show picture", but still get nothing.

mmm. i didnt think about the wide leg pants, I have wide leg pants, that might be something to think about too.

Rakshanda, both tops are nice. I agree - very few people can wear empire waists w/o them looking like maternity tops, so those are good choices and both are colors that you can wear well. I also lean towards the green because it is has a V neck & I've found that a V neck looks nicer on people who are not flat-chested. Draws the eye up. I'm sure you'll look great in it. My sisters & I have all been shopping for upcoming weddings & we've ended up with fancy dresses, sundresses, and dressy tops/pant combos. You'll look great!

I really like the both of them! I agree with you wanting to keep within the "Indian" frame of mind though. When I first read your post the first thought that came to mind is that Indian weddings are always pretty- especially with the colorful fabrics.
Anyways-I think it would look nice either with the wide leg pants or a nice black skirt. I hope you have a great time and I am sure that you will look nice!
