Ask:
I am researching on the learning electronic which are Leap Frog and V.Smile connect to the TV for my son who will be turning 3 in Nov for his Christmas present. I am deaf working mother and my husband is deaf too, we always use the sign language with voice to our son at home all the time.
I want to start to educate him on some ABC, numbers, colors and several others that will help him to learn some new things to prepare him to enter pre-school or K in 2009, but his babysitter has been teaching pre-school at her house since last fall and will continue to teach during summer.
It is hard to decide which brand name is good and need your feedbacks/experience comments if any of your children have either of this item. Hope you don't mind to help out and thanks.
Answer:
We have a Vsmile game system and most of the games. We've had it for about 2 years. My girls are 4 & 7. They play with it a lot. I love how simple the younger kid's games are. My 4 year old didn't play with it much when we got it but now she does. She also plays our older kid (6-8 year old) games a lot too. They love the characters (Nemo, Care Bears, SpongeBob, etc) and I love they are learning. Each game features certain skills, like letters, colors, basic math, etc. I highly recommend it. I know some people have had problems with their game system. I've had a couple of times where it wouldn't come on. I unplug the AC adaptor from the box and plug it back in and it works.
Answer:
Leap Frog is much better than the V.Smile. In quality and educational value! My 3 and 4 year old have the Leapster LMax's which hook up to the TV also and they love them. Hope that helps!
Answer:
Most of the Leapfrog products are great!! my kids love them!!
we dont have VSmile so I cannot say much about them!! but we have the Leapsters (not ones tha hook up) but my kids love them!! and I can see the things they are working on!!
Answer:
We have both the VSmilel and the Leapster LMax. I prefer the Leapster. First, it's a handheld game, which is nice. My kids take them with them for long drives, boring trips, sometimes even when we go out to dinner. Then, we always can hook them up to the TV for larger screen play. More options in my opinion. And the kids seem to prefer them over the VSmile.
