Oatmeal Pancake Mix

Ask:
I got this recipe out of American Profile-it is some paper that comes inside our Thursday paper. It sometimes has good recipes in it, and I thought this one looked yummy. I HAVE NOT made this recipe yet. But was asked to post it-I posted a question about the whole wheat flour. If anyone makes it let me know if they are good. Thanks.

MIX:

4 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup instant non fat dry milk
3 tablespoons baking powder
2 tablespoons cinnamon
5 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

PANCAKES:

2 eggs
1/3 cup canola oil
2 cups pancake mix
1 cup water

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together well. Store in a sealed gallon size plastic bag or airtight container. Yield: 10 cups of pancake mix.
To make pancakes: beat eggs in a large bowl. Gradually beat in oil. Alternately add pancake mix and water to mixture. Blend well. Preheat and oil griddle. Pour 1/3 cup of batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form around the edges, turn and continue to cook until done. Yield: about 10 pancakes.
Answer:

Thanks a bunch! This might be a good mix to put in a gift basket - will have to try it out first.
Answer:

That's what I thought too. Good for gift baskets for Christmas, b-days, etc. Well, if you get to try it before I do, let me know.
