ok, so tomorow i am going to go and buy some panit for my basement finally!!! and i need some good color ideas, and some good suggestions for techiniques or anything interesting. i want it to be warm and cozy and inviting. the lighting down there is medium. not great but not terrible. i really desperately need ideas!! especially on paint colors lol.

Depending on the space you have you could do one wall chocolate and the other walls a lighter tan color...maybe rag roll or feather dust the chocolate wall. Black Raspberry is a warm purple color that looks great with a silvery grey color. I like to paint 1 (or sometimes 2) walls one really drastic color and the other walls a complimentary lighter color. I think some of it depends on how much "light" your basement gets. We had our basement finished off a few years ago and had it painted a sort of brownish/greenish color. If I had it to do over again I would paint it a lighter or brighter color. We have a double window and a zillion can lights, but it still always seems dark down there. So I personally would get something semi-light.

I would definately do a light color if there is not a lot of light there, you don't want it looking like a cave. I love paint! Every room in my house is a different color. Good luck!
