Takin' my lumps - your experience?

Ask:
I have always had lumpy ta-tas, including under my arms. Under my right arm, the nodes bothered me pretty much always. Anyway, I'm still nursing, but the Dr. found an enlarged lump in the ta ta and some concerns under my arm and sent me for an ultrasound. I went in March. She referred me to a surgeon which I saw today (I knew her because she'd removed a lump after my son was born when mastitis was causing problems). Anyway, the one in the breast doesn't concern her, but I have three enlarged ones under my arm, one which is a bit too large. Surgeon is sending me for another ultrasound and mammogram next Tuesday to see if it's gotten bigger since March.

I'm not panicking. I'm pretty healthy in this way, and cancer isn't really in my family - I think an aunt or two, and maybe a great aunt had issues, but nobody can give me answers.
But...I have two young children - the downtime during surgery is bad.

The Dr. said if I wasn't nursing, she would go in and take it out now, but since I am nursing, she wants to do other tests first. She agreed stress could have enlarged the nodes. I've always had a fatty lump - breast tissue - under my right arm that got sore around my period, even when slim - I'd love to have that gone, but this is deeper.

Anybody experienced this? Benign cysts act like this, too, right? I'm run down, but w/stress, two kids and possibly fibromyalgia, that may play into it, right? The nodes could be large from something else.....?

I wish I knew what to say. I have no advice for you, but I wanted to say not to worry. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Answer:

I had a benign lump in my left breast removed 6 yrs ago (I was 36.) I had my breast reduction done after the lumpectomy so they were able to see/get everything. I have not had any problems since. Good luck, please keep us posted... sending prayers your way
Answer:

I had a sister who got a similar scare....they determined it was due to her large consumption of caffeine (primarily coffee). Apparently caffiene can cause alot of fatty lumps in your breasts. She just needed to cut back on her intake and nothing serious was found.

Keep your spirits up...know that God has his arms wrapped around you every step of the way.
Answer:

My ex SIL had to have lumps removed before and they were nothing. She was just fine. I wish I could say something to make you feel better. I can say big to you!
