Glad I found

Ask:
I am glad to have found a place for moms with special need children. It has been a long, emotional and exhausting 7 1/2 months for my husband, myself and our son. I really have not had the opportunity to talk to other moms who are going through some of the same things I am. My son was diagnosed with a terminal illness in February, but despite this diagnosis he is beating the odds and is joy, blessing and miracle. I am excited to meet other moms and share thoughts, expericences, advice and just a lending ear. So hi to all and to another blessed day with our children.

Jen
Answer:

Oh my. I am sending up prayers right now for your son & you & your dh. How old is your son & what has he been diagnosed with? Miracles can definitely happen in this world. We are glad that you are here & there are plenty of shoulders on this forum for you to lean on.
Answer:

Is he your only child? Do you stay at home with him? Welcome to the board! You will find lots of ladies here who will take you under their wings, giving you all the support (and probably then some!) that you are looking for!! Glad you found us..and hope you stay!
Answer:

Since I am new what does "dh" stand for? Clayton is my first and only son, he is 7 1/2 months old. He was diagnosed with Perioxosomal (I think this is how you spell it, I always forget, but can look up tomorrow) disorder:Zellweger Spectrum, he is in the upper portion of the moderate level according to his lab work. He is not suppose to be doing anything really except laying down, but despite this he is interacting, smiling, laughing, trying to talk, rolling over, and doing all the things babies do, just a little slower. He is truly our miracle baby. We are blessed to have him and I am blessed to be his mother and stay at home with him.
Answer:

Good news that he is doing well. Cherish each moment and know that we are just an email away.
Answer:

Hi. I'm glad that you are here, but sorry that you're dealing with this. DH means Dear Husband, but you can change the d to mean something else as needed...

Can you tell us more about him? What does he like to do? Share only what you feel comfortable with, but we're here to "listen". Also, feel free if you ever need to just vent or just talk about you. We're here.

We'd love to know more about all of you!
Answer:

My heart goes out to you. I am so happy to hear that he is a happy baby though...sounds like a real trooper!
Answer:

Oh Jen, hugs to you. I can't even imagine. I'm grateful that he is bucking the odds and praying for all of you.
